The Italian MFA makes available grants to support the translation of Italian books and audiovisuals into Latvian or Russian. Deadline: 24 April 2024.
Every year the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation makes available financial grants to promote the translation of Italian books and audiovisuals into foreign languages.
For Latvia, these grants are available for 2024:
- grants for the translation from Italian into Latvian or Russian of books (fiction or non-fiction);
- grants for the dubbing or subtitling from Italian into Latvian or Russian of feature films, short films or series.
Only books or audiovisuals to be published after 1st August 2024 are eligible for these grants.
Who can apply for these grants?
- Translators
- Publishing houses
- Film producers
- Dubbing or subtitling agencies
- Distribution companies
- Literary agencies and agents
- National and international cultural institutions.
