The Consular Section of our Embassy is available for Italian citizens residing in Latvia and Italian citizens temporarily here, as well for foreign nationals permanent residing in Latvia.
Working hours
From 8th July 2024 to access our Consular Section you need to book an appointment online. You can use the Prenot@mi portal: visit the website, sign up, select the Embassy of Italy in Riga and use your credentials to book your appointment. If you don’t find what you are looking for, you can send us an email at consolare.riga@esteri.it.
Appointments are scheduled during these working hours, according to specific calendars that are different for each kind of service: from Monday to Friday from 9 to 13: 30 and from 14:30 to 18.
If you are in an emergency situation, you can all our Consular Section or our hotline if outside of business hours.
From 1st to 5th July 2024 you can choose to book an appointment online via Prenot@mi or come at our Consular Section without an appointment during our opening hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 to 12; Tuesday and Thursday from 15 to 17.
Payments
You need to pay to get some consular services: it’s the so-called “consular tariffs” and they are prescribed by the law. The amount depends on which service you need: you’ll find it in the page about each service. You can pay cash or via bank transfer. If you choose to pay via bank transfer, in this document you can find our Embassy’s bank details: bear in mind that if you choose to pay via bank transfe the consular service you need can be delivered only when the funds are accredited on the Embassy’s bank account.
