A series of 10 public conversations sheds light on the Italian and Latvian contemporary creative scenes. An original project by the Embassy of Italy in Riga.
Caffè Young Italy is a series of 10 public conversations taking place in Latvia from August to December 2024 organised by the Embassy of Italy in Riga together with some of the major Latvian cultural institutions and festivals.
The conversations involve couples of Italian and Latvian creatives and professionals younger than 35 and active in the same fields. The goal of the project is giving space and occasion to the youths of the two countries to talk about the challenges and opportunities they share in their professional lives, regardless of their different origins.
Each conversation takes place in English and last for around 40 minutes. On stage – the protagonists and a moderator. After every conversation, the audience is invited to enjoy a coffee-aperitivo.
The project is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy in the framework of its “Capitali della creatività italiana all’estero – Festival of Italian Creativity” initiative.
