“Armed Forces safeguarding our freedom” is the motto of Italy’s National Unity and Armed Forces Day.
“As Italy marks the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic this year, 4 November offers us a further opportunity to reflect on the values of unity, freedom and democracy. These are hard-won achievements rooted in our history, which we have a responsibility to safeguard and pass on to future generations.” These are the words of Minister of Defence Guido Crosetto, on the occasion of National Unity and Armed Forces Day.
On 4 November, we pay tribute to all those who work tirelessly every day to safeguard security and stability, both at home and through missions abroad.
