On Thursday 2 July, the Speaker of the Saeima, Daiga Mieriņa, received the Ambassador of the Italian Republic, Alessandro Monti, for a farewell visit.
During the meeting, the Speaker of the Saeima expressed her appreciation for Italy’s military contribution to the NATO Multinational Brigade in Latvia. Speaker Mieriņa also personally thanked Ambassador Monti for strengthening bilateral relations between Italy and Latvia.
