The Embassy of Italy in Riga is closed on the occasion of some Italian holidays and some Latvian holidays.

The Italian Embassy in Riga observes both Latvian and Italian public holidays. In 2026, the Embassy will be closed on the following days:

  • January 1st – New Year’s Day

  • April 3rd – Good Friday

  • April 6th – Easter Monday

  • May 1st – Labour Day

  • May 4th – Restoration of Independence Day of the Republic of Latvia (May 4, 1990)

  • June 2nd – Italian Republic Day

  • June 23rd – Līgo (Midsummer Eve)

  • June 24th – Jāņi (St. John’s Day)

  • November 18th – Proclamation Day of the Republic of Latvia (November 18, 1918)

  • December 25th – Christmas Day

  • December 26th – Saint Stephen’s Day
