The President of the Republic of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, attended the reception hosted by the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, held on February 6, 2026, at the Royal Palace of Milan. The event was organized for Heads of State and Government on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the XXV Olympic Winter Games Milano–Cortina 2026. Following the reception, the Head of State proceeded to the San Siro Stadium for the Opening Ceremony of the XXV Olympic Winter Games.
