The initiative is promoted by the <strong>Embassy of Italy in Riga<\/strong> and includes four screening of Pasolini\u2019s most famous movies from October 15 to 23. The first Latvian translation of Pasolini\u2019s book \u201cThe street kids\u201d will also be presented during the Festival.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPasolini has been a gifted artist and versatile intellectual &#8211; loved and controversial at the same time. He was radically ahead of his time and he managed to identify and describe many of the issues and contradictions of our modern societies\u201d commented the <strong>Ambassador of Italy in Latvia, Alessandro Monti<\/strong>, during an interview with LTV1, the main<\/p>\n<p>Latvian television network.<\/p>\n<p>Screenings of the Pasolini retrospective will take place at the <strong>Splendid Palace cinema<\/strong> in central Riga according to the following programme: 15 October, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rigaiff.lv\/en\/films-2022\/teorema\/\">\u201cTeorema\u201d<\/a><\/span> and \u201cThe street kids\u201d book presentation; 16 October, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rigaiff.lv\/en\/films-2022\/medeja\/\">\u201cMedea\u201d<\/a><\/span>; 22 October, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rigaiff.lv\/en\/films-2022\/salo-jeb-120-sodomas-dienas\/\">\u201cSal\u00f2 o le 120 giornate di Sodoma\u201d<\/a><\/span>; 23 October, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rigaiff.lv\/en\/films-2022\/dekamerons\/\">\u201cDecameron\u201d<\/a><\/span>.
