{"id":4919,"date":"2026-02-19T11:12:02","date_gmt":"2026-02-19T08:12:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambriga.esteri.it\/?p=4919"},"modified":"2026-02-19T11:16:24","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T08:16:24","slug":"gregorio-botta-headlining-at-the-rothko-museum-in-daugavpils-from-feb-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambriga.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2026\/02\/gregorio-botta-headlining-at-the-rothko-museum-in-daugavpils-from-feb-20\/","title":{"rendered":"Gregorio Botta headlining at the Rothko Museum in Daugavpils from Feb 20"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Embassy of Italy in Riga is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition <em>\u201cLa pittura porta a casa\u201d<\/em> (Painting brings home) by the artist <strong>Gregorio Botta<\/strong>, to be held on <strong>20 February<\/strong> at the <strong>Rothko Museum<\/strong> in Daugavpils. the Ambassador of Italy to Latvia, <strong>Alessandro Monti<\/strong>, and the Latvian Minister of Culture, <strong>Agne L\u0101ce<\/strong>, will attend the event.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition, curated by <strong>Bruno Cor\u00e0<\/strong> and organized by <strong>Il Cigno Arte<\/strong> in collaboration with this Embassy, features about thirty works that offer a synthesis of the artist&#8217;s most recent production.<\/p>\n<p>The display at the Rothko Museum holds a profound symbolic value: Gregorio Botta is in fact the author of an important monograph dedicated to Mark Rothko (Pollock and Rothko.
